THE INTERIOR DESIGN
As Trends come and go, we return to simplicity – bright open defined spaces that flow from one to the other, generous covered porches, the practical beauty of real hardwood floors, and a roof with a pitch that makes a house look like a home to us. A neutral backdrop makes it a simpler task to add the décor that suits our tastes and makes the home feel like our own. We gravitate as human animals toward light, and know that lighter shades brighten long Colorado winters and lift our spirits when our homes are truly our refuge. Ceiling heights not so high that we lose ourselves and not so low that we feel claustrophobic, and we mostly prefer some variation. Architecture – subtle and elegant, neither dictated nor contrived. Convenience of maintenance, ease of daily tasks, functionality, technology, and the ability to adapt, as this multi-generational plan allows – features that will ease us through the transitions, as the one sure thing about life is change
