Built with attention for detail for which Goetzmann Custom Homes has become known, this home blends form and function to create a livable space with clean lines and warm, rustic finishes.
From the moment you enter the custom alder and glass front door, the stunning floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in the great room draws you into the heart of the home where you can enjoy Pikes Peak views from the main living areas. The tongue and groove stained alder ceiling with collar tie beams provide a soft rustic touch with a contemporary flair. Off the great room is a cook’s dream kitchen that is flooded with natural light. Top of the line appliances, solid surface countertops, amazing pantry, and a beverage center make this the ideal space for entertaining. The indoor-outdoor relationship of the home is enhanced with a welcoming covered deck with a two-sided fireplace. The main level is sophisticated and elegant, yet highly practical and comfortable. The lower level is all about entertainment, with fireplace, shuffleboard, floating bar top, in-wall beer taps, and frameless glass barn door to wine room. Goetzmann Custom Homes has found the perfect balance of functional design, organization, comfort, and style to take this home to the next level.
Phil Goetzmann is a local builder with more than 35 years of experience in Colorado. He realized his home building passion at age 15, when he spent summers working as an apprentice for a local builder. By the age of 21, he was a licensed contractor and built his first home – from the ground up - at the age of 22, in Black Forest.
Colorado Springs has always been “home” to Phil. Sharing life with his wife, Karen, and four kids, Phil understands the importance of family values and enjoys time spent with loved ones playing in the magnificent mountains of Colorado, snowmobiling, skiing, and golfing. Without a doubt, Phil is confident that our team can build the treasured home you too have longed for – the reputation of the Goetzmann name says so!
THE INTERIOR DESIGN
Interior Designer Kim Blehm’s vision for the home was decidedly contemporary, clean and bright, yet “rustic” in its organic elements and warm tones. The color pallet with rusts, warm neutrals, and grays was inspired by this amazing place we call home, and the rich colors of our spectacular sandstone rock formations set against the backdrop of Pikes Peak. The lighter, clean-lined aesthetic is balanced with natural touches to create upscale and timeless design.
The efficient floorplan is most definitely the foundational element that gives this house its appeal. Open spaces, spacious rooms, and massive entertaining spaces were enhanced with crisp walls, custom stained floors and woodwork, quartz countertops, sleek modern light fixtures, and inviting textures. The design pays respect to Coloradoans' love for mountain style homes, with a fresh perspective and despite its modern touches, the house feels rooted in its place on the Front Range.
