This expansive home built by Strecker Homes expresses Tuscan flair and a Colorado touch. Some of the best features of this home are the ones not seen, starting with an exterior wall insulation value of R-32 and a roof insulation value of R-42. In addition to the excellent building envelope, we offer Pella windows to keep the heat in for the winter or open for a summer breeze. Using Pella windows allows us to use beautiful alder casings, trimmed with the finest finish in the Pikes Peak region. Warmth is provided with a radiant in-floor heating system throughout the house and cooled with a high velocity air conditioning system. Custom cabinetry makes the kitchen, pantry, bath vanities, and closets all a joy to live with. With solid hickory and travertine floors, you will sense quality and luxurious living. A custom wine room, detailed wet bar, workout room, hand-hewn beams, and zero entry showers are some of the wonderful features of this sanctuary. With a covered front deck and fireplace, along with a flagstone patio and firepit off the kitchen, you will not want to leave home. Don’t forget to look at the view from the loft office! At almost 7,000 square feet of living space and 1,400 square feet of garage, this home will leave you with no wants.

Strecker Homes is owned and operated by Doug and Terri Strecker. They began building homes in Washington State in 1996. They moved their family, consisting of four children and two dogs, to Colorado Springs in 2000, and began to bring excellence in home building to the Rocky Mountain region. Strecker Homes strives to be the best by using superior materials and working with expert tradesmen. Strecker Homes seeks out the newest technology and designs to suit their clients’ wishes. The result is a timeless and comfortable home that is built to last. For the custom home client, Strecker Homes will meet the desires, needs, and wants of their dream home. With 21 years of experience and expertise, we realize what we do is not for our benefit, but for our clients’ benefit.

The interior design of the house uses all-natural finishes. There is an extensive use of travertine marble and granite. Solid alder trim features a stained finish with glazing to carry the cabinetry facade throughout the house. Flooring on the main level is either travertine or solid hickory sand and finished on site. All doors are solid alder, and the home has extensive LED lighting both for main lighting and accent/ambient lighting. A focal point in the house is the staircase that floats on a winding stringer flowing from the main level to a great entertaining area in the lower level, with a wine room, wet bar and exercise room. As the stairway ascends upward to the third floor, it leads to a loft, an open study with its own private deck and another bedroom suite.
